I am an award-winning translator of Swedish and Finland-Swedish fiction and non-fiction. I have worked as a full-time literary translator for over a decade and been active in the community as a mentor, guest lecturer, literary critic and committee member of the Swedish to English Literary Translators’ Association (SELTA). I also write fiction in my free time.

I have over thirty published titles under my belt, spanning children's and YA fiction, fantasy, crime, horror, humour, and non-fiction, including psychology, linguistics and mythology.

My translations have won the GLLI Translated YA Book prize, the Children's Book Council Favourite Award, and the AudioFile Earphones Award, and been nominated for a range of prizes including the International Dublin Literary Award, the CWA International Dagger Award, and the Carnegie Medal on three occasions.

My preferred texts are those with a touch of magic and mystery. I also relish the challenge of being creative with neologisms, humour and rhyme, delving where some translators fear to tread – and having a lot of fun along the way.
