Translator working across Swedish and English | PhD researcher in Literature and Human Rights at University College London
Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, I have spent the past decade living, studying, and working in the UK while dividing my time between Sweden, the UK, and the US.
I hold a BA (Hons) in English and Related Literature (with Old Norse) from the University of York and an MA in Comparative Literature from University College London, where I am currently a PhD researcher specialising in speculative fiction and human rights law. In 2018–2019, I served as the Cultural Affairs Advisor at the Swedish Embassy in London.
I translate between Swedish and English, with published titles in both languages ranging from fiction to non-fiction and children's books to film scripts. I work with foreign rights agents to prepare sample translations, with authors seeking to reach a new audience in Swedish or English, and with English-language publishers of Scandinavian literature as well as Swedish publishers in need of English-to-Swedish translation. My clients further include international human rights organisations and some of Scandinavia's biggest media companies.
